Trust Anil Kapoor to defy age and serve us all fitness goals. In a new clip on Instagram, the actor, who was last seen in Netflix’s AK vs AK, can be seen running around a track and gradually gaining speed. He doesn’t look tired at the end either. The actor shared the clip ahead of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Japan.
The opening ceremony of the pandemic-delayed Tokyo Olympics is scheduled for Friday evening. The ceremony will be held without spectators as a measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus infections, although some officials, guests and media will be in attendance.
No one in good conscience can deny that it’s rare for someone over 60 to not only look fit, with barely an ounce of extra fat, but also act fit by sprinting quickly across a track.
Anil Kapoor shared the video with the caption: “Sprinting back into action! #literally. So happy to be back on track! Inspired by our Indian athletes in Tokyo making the whole country proud! #Cheer4India #Olympcis2021.📸 @marcyogimead .”
The man out of the picture, Marc Mead, who is shooting the video, can encourage him by saying, “Pull up the pace. You need to pick up the pace.”
Fans have expressed surprise and delight at the actor’s condition. One wrote: “Still young and fit🔥🙌.” Another commented, “that’s why the legend said age is just a number – fantastic sir” (sic).”
One fan expressed his disbelief and suggested that Anil’s stated age cannot be his real age. “Sir aapki age sach mai 64 hai ya phir ye aadhar card waali age hai…😢,” said the fan.
On the work front, Anil Kapoor will next be seen in Raj Mehta director Jug Jugg Jeeyo. The romantic drama film also stars Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan Kiara Advani, Prajakta Koli and Manish Paul.
About 11,000 athletes from 206 countries will compete in 33 sports at the Tokyo Olympics. The Indian contingent will also be the largest as 119 athletes are in Tokyo to compete in numerous sports.
