Actor Anushka Shetty has worked in the film industry for 16 years on Thursday. On the occasion, the actor thanked director Puri Jagannath for casting her in her first film Super. The action movie, starring Nagarjuna, was released on July 20, 2005.
Anushka shared a still of Super on Instagram, writing: “Congratulations to all of us and a big thank you to Annapurnastudios, Supri, Nagarjuna garu, Puri Jaganath garu, Sonu, Sachin (makeup and hair) and all the team for their support, believing in me and each and every film team I’ve worked for to support me to be the best of me in these 16 years.”
Anushka Shetty also expressed her gratitude to everyone who has stood by her over the years. “For all the people who are taking the time out of their lives and making such a difference in my life, Hemchand…ASF and audience…Thank you so much for all the unconditional love forever forever..let’s all grow a baby step every day (sic),” she added.
Shortly after her debut with Super, Anushka Shetty became one of the most sought-after leading ladies in the South. She has made many hit movies both in Telugu and Tamil. After the huge success of her horror film Arundhati, she became a superstar in her own right. Anushka became a household name across the country after playing the role of Devasena in the blockbuster franchise Baahubali.
Anushka Shetty was last seen in Nishabdham, which was released on Amazon Prime Video last year.
