The highly anticipated trailer for Dune by Denis Villeneuve is out and it looks like this movie was worth the wait. Dune, which stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Chang Chen, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem, seems to be the kind of movie cinephiles will love about its elaborate world-building.
The three-and-a-half minute trailer is the premise of the film as it introduces us to Timothee’s Paul who embarks on a journey to another planet to save his people. We also get a hint of who the good guys and who the bad guys are here, but obviously the lines won’t be as black and white as they seem.
Dune is based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same name.
Dune’s official synopsis reads: “A mythical and emotionally charged hero’s journey, Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a grand destiny beyond his comprehension, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to discover the future. of his family and his people. As evil forces explode in a conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity that can unlock humanity’s greatest potential—only those who fear their be able to overcome, survive.”
