Gehana Vasisth Releases Statement on Raj Kundra’s Arrest: ‘Don’t Mix Erotica With Porn’

After Raj Kundra was arrested on Monday by Mumbai police in a pornography-related case, actress Gehana Vasisth, who has been released on bail in connection with the same case, made a statement alleging that she and Raj Kundra had been scapegoated.

In a video statement, Gehana said: “I found out about Raj’s (Kundra) arrest and I want to say that no one is making porn. These were normal videos, normal erotica like how Ekta Kapoor makes Gandii Baat, Parched and so many other movies. In our series there is less daring than that. They are said to have found several videos but I request all of you to watch these videos first and then make a judgment. Not a single video comes in the porn category. Most of our viewers are 18 years or older and can easily tell the difference between porn and erotica I have full confidence in the Mumbai Police and there will be no injustice Our videos are not porn these are normal bold videos And have been making for a long time a lot of directors and producers get this one, and all of a sudden a handful of people are being targeted.”

She added that “erotica should not be mixed with porn” and said: “The law will run its course. We have full confidence in the Mumbai Police, but they should not confuse porn with erotica or risqué content. We have always said that the Mumbai Police are the best police in the world. The courts will ultimately decide during the trial who the real culprits are and which of the arrested suspects have only been used by others.”

Gehana Vasisth’s publicist later released a statement on her behalf, saying his client was “just a misguided, manipulated pawn throughout the episode.”

The statement reads: “The police must get to the bottom of the matter. There are hundreds of porn OTTs still producing hundreds of clips every week all over India. The big fish are still there. They store money and earn crores every week. Gehana had been tricked and tricked into joining the company. She was told that she was working for an international company and that all due diligence and legal research had already been done. She was made a scapegoat. We thank the Mumbai Police for attempting to break the bottom of this porn black hole that is basically a bottomless dungeon. Several big names are involved.”

In February of this year, Gehana Vasisth was arrested after allegedly shooting 87 pornographic videos, which she uploaded on her website. On the work front, Gehana was last seen in Gandii Baat, an ALTBalaji web series.
