The feud between TV couple Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal grows uglier as they accuse each other. While Nisha accused him of domestic violence and shared photos of herself with bruises, Karam insists he didn’t touch her. He says she hit her head against the wall and blamed him. Although the pair have cameras installed in their home, the footage of their fight is unavailable because the cameras were turned off.
Karan told Times of India: “There are seven cameras in our 4BHK apartment. Each room has a camera that screens off the bedroom. The camera in the hall is installed at an angle that could have captured the area where she put her head against the wall. But then I realized Nisha had turned off the cameras in the house. If we’d had the footage it would have been clearer, but the main controls were turned off. Everything seemed orchestrated and planned in advance.”
When asked about Karan’s allegations, Nisha said, “Yes, the cameras were turned off and I turned them off some time ago. Karan would show his best demeanor, be nice to me and play with our son Kavish where there were cameras while in the bedroom where we had no camera; he would abuse and beat me. So I had the cameras turned off many days ago. Now the police have confiscated the DVR, which would record everything.”
Details of the fight came to light after Karan Mehra was arrested earlier this week following a complaint from Nisha Rawal. Karan was later released on bail. After this, Karan and Nisha made allegations, with Nisha saying that Karan physically abused her and that he was also having an extramarital affair. Nisha said she confronted him after reading “texts” months ago. Karan hit back and denied the allegations of infidelity, saying she physically assaulted him. He added that their relationship was constantly on the rocks, and he even started having suicidal thoughts.
Speaking to indianexpress.com, Karan refuted all the allegations and explained what had happened. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor said that after their fight, Nisha hit her head against the wall to get him involved. Karan said that while he was on the phone with his mother, Nisha barged in and started abusing him and his family. “She even spat on me twice and kept saying she will play dirty now. I told her to leave the room and while I was washing my hands she hit her head against the wall and told everyone I was doing it. They also started recording on the phone to frame me. Her brother beat me and even threatened to kill me and my family. I am still very weak from my Covid-19 diagnosis and didn’t even have the strength to fight back,” he said.
