Manoj Bajpayee, Ayushmann Khurrana, Urmila Matondkar pray for Dilip Kumar’s health: ‘We wish our great legend a speedy recovery’

Within hours of Dilip Kumar’s hospitalization on Sunday after complaining of shortness of breath, celebrities, politicians and fans across the country poured their wishes and prayers for the veteran actor. Dilip Kumar is currently hospitalized at Khar Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai.

The actor’s Twitter handle informed fans about his health earlier in the day, posting: “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to the non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and examinations. He has had periods of shortness of breath. A team of health professionals led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale takes care of him. Please keep Sahab in your prayers and please stay safe.” Among the many online users who responded to the tweet were actors Manoj Bajpayee and Urmila Matondkar.

Both expressed concern for Dilip Kumar’s health. “Pray for a speedy recovery of Dilip Saab!!” Bajpayee wrote, while Matondkar tweeted, “Wishing our great legend a speedy recovery.”

Ayushmann Khurrana also took to his Instagram stories and posted a poem wishing Dilip Kumar a speedy recovery.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who visited Kumar at the hospital, tweeted: “Today we visited legendary actor Shri Dilip Kumarji at Khar Hinduja Hospital to check his health and treatment along with veterinary actress Smt Saira Banu. I wish Shri Dilip Kumarji a speedy recovery and good health!”

Union Minorities Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also expressed his wishes for Kumar and shared an old black and white photo of himself with the actor. “Get well soon, Dilip Kumar Saheb, सेहत की दुआ के साथ,दिलीप साहब आप जल्द स्वस्थ हों,” Naqvi captioned the photo.

Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu confirmed his hospitalization to indianexpress.com in the morning. “After experiencing shortness of breath, we took Dilip sahab to the hospital in Khar Road at 8:30 am. Doctors are treating him and we’ve done some tests, we’re waiting for reports. Please pray for him that he feels better and that we can get him home soon,” she said.
