To advance the comedy genre on its platform, Netflix is working with Mike Myers from. together Austin Powers and Shrek Glory for a new limited comedy series called The pentaverate. This series is very different in its cast as Myers will play not one, not two, but seven characters. A master of disguise and various accents, Myers will be at home on Netflix The pentaverate.
The series was created and written by Mike Myers and is owned by Tim Kirkby. Kirkby is known for his work on projects like Flea pouch, Veep and more.
Both Myers and Kirkby will co-produce with John Lyons – who worked with Myers on the second and third tracks Austin Powers Movies – Tony Hernandez (Full frontal with Samantha Bee, younger) and Lilly Burns (Emily in Paris, younger) for Jax Media, together with The gong show Jason Weinberg producer. The series was officially unveiled on June 8, 2021, but the show’s existence has has been known in some form since April 2019.
