Money Heist 5 gets a new face against the gang in red jumpsuits. Actor José Manuel Seda, rumored to have joined the Spanish crime drama in the upcoming season five, is finally making his first appearance as a cast member. The makers teased fans on Tuesday with José’s first look from the show.
Netflix and the show’s production banner, Vancouver Media, made the big reveal during the streaming giant’s Geeked fan event. They took their social media handles and released a brand new still from season 5 of Money Heist, showing José dressed in uniform and standing next to an army vehicle.

While Vancouver Media wrote in its Instagram post, “Who is this man?” Netflix India captioned the image as, “We’re feeling a different villain this season.” Netflix also shared two other new stills from the fresh season, one featuring Palermo, Bogota and Rio next to some sort of bunker ready to fire bazookas, while the other is a solo of Rio in action with a machine gun.
While fans await more details on Jose’s role, it still suggests he may be with the military, which will storm the Bank of Spain and take down the robbers. The gang, meanwhile, has vowed to avenge Nairobi’s murder and Rio’s torture during his illegal detention.
José Manuel Seda joined La Casa De Papel of Money Heist a few months ago. In addition to him, actors Patrick Criado and Miguel Ángel Silvestre are also the new arrivals this time.
Several behind-the-scenes photos and videos of Patrick Criado and Miguel Ángel Silvestre have already made the rounds on fan pages. Patrick Criado has clicked with actor Pedro Alonso, suggesting he could appear in the Berlin issue in flashbacks.
Netflix unveiled the first set of Money Heist 5 exclusive stills last week, which immediately went viral. The photos suggest there’s a lot of action and drama waiting for the audience in the coming season.
Money Heist season 5 will be released in two parts. The first part will premiere on Netflix on September 3, and the second part will be released on December 3.
