Salman Khan would recreate the Ravi Teja starrer Khiladi in Hindi, according to several reports. If the speculation were true, it would be Salman’s second remake of Ravi Teja’s film, after Kick. The reports further suggested that the film’s director, Ramesh Varma, would also direct the Hindi version, after Salman was impressed by the film’s teaser. However, it turns out that the information about Khiladi’s Hindi remake is just speculation.
“It is not true that Khiladi is getting a Hindi remake with Salman Khan for the time being. First of all, Telugu Khiladi filming must be completed and it must be accepted by the public at the box office. Only then would we get clarity about the Hindi remake. The reports about the Hindi remake of the film are false,” a source told Indianexpress.com.
With Dimple Hayathi and Meenakshi Chaudhary as female protagonists, Ramesh Varma of Rakshasudu fame leads the project. Ravi Teja plays the titular role. Koneru Satyanarayana produces it together with Dr Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios. The film is currently in the final part of its shooting.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan was last seen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. At the moment he has Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, Kick 2, Antim: The Final Truth and also a new project in the ‘Tiger’ franchise.
