WandaVision won’t return for a second season, says Elizabeth Olsen

Sorry WandaVision fans, the Disney Plus show is not getting another season, MCU star Elizabeth Olsen confirmed in a recent interaction with actor Kaley Cuoco for Variety. When Olsen asked Cuoco if his show The Flight Attendant was getting a new season, Kaley returned the favor by asking Elizabeth the same question.

“No. No. It’s definitely a limited series,” the WandaVision star rushed to respond. When prodded further, Olsen admitted that you can never be quite sure about things with Marvel – “I mean, I say Which. I do not know. I mean, with Marvel you can never say no. People die…” Olsen seemed to allude to the fact that Marvel characters have been resurrected over and over along the storyline.

For example, the titular character of the currently-streamed MCU series Loki has died on-screen multiple times only to return in some way, shape or form later. Wanda’s partner Vision was even pronounced dead in Avengers: Infinity War, but Wanda (and the creators) brought him back, much to the delight of fans.

Also earlier, during an interview with People magazine, Olsen had said much the same about the show’s revival after the first season. The actor stated in January that WandaVision was a complete series in its own right: “It’s a limited series. It’s a full beginning, middle, end, and that sort of thing.”

For now, we know that Wanda Maximoff will have her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe via the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but the details about her appearance are still being kept a secret.
